JUSTIN BICKFORD

Hey yall, I’m Dr. Justin. I am a Physical Therapist and the Director of Rehab at a clinic in Huntsville, Texas. I have been working in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics for the past 10 years. I am a Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics and a sub-specialist in Manual Therapy. I teach in the Exercise Science department at my alma mater Sam Houston State University. I am the kind of PT that leads by example and I don’t ask anything of my patients that I wouldn’t be willing to do myself. I believe that our bodies are made to move and sometimes they need some help to move better. I keep my patients as independent as possible by teaching them how to take care of themselves. I want everyone I work with to be able to thrive without relying on medications, injections, or procedures.

CHAMPION LIVING

In my free time I like to run, working out, hiking, and stand up paddle boarding. I’m married to the love of my life and we have a Mini-Aussie and an Aussie/Husky mix that we rescued. Together we love to travel, especially to the beach! Though I am not a cowboy, I grew up raising animals. I showed commercial heifers, goats, rabbits, and chickens and even got my Lonestar Farmer’s Degree from the FFA. Growing up I played football, baseball, basketball, powerlifted, threw shotput and discuss, and even team roped for a little while. By playing sports, I had multiple injuries and surgeries. So I got introduced to Physical Therapy as a patient first. I learned pretty quickly that I would rather prevent myself from getting injured than have to recover from an injury. I love helping people improve their quality of life and improve their sports performance the smart, safe way. If you have any health, exercise, sports, or physical therapy questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
